Brizia
I am Brizia. I have Cerebral Paralysis. I have four brothers. We have severe nutrition problems along with respiratory problems. I am better now thanks to the care and therapy I am receiving at Pasitos de Luz. Please help so that Pasitos de Luz can continue.
Manuelito
Hi I am Manuelito. I have sequales meningitis. Before I arrived to Pasitos de Luz, I felt very sad. I have no brothers and sisters. My papa went to work in the Unites States. I am very depressed sometimes and now that I am at PDL I have someone to care for me. Maybe someday I can walk and talk and tell my parents how much I love them.
José Angel (Pollito)
I am Pollito. I have mielomeningiceal. My parents and my brothers work so no one can take me to therapy. I had many ulcers in my feet and on my bottom three years ago. But now they are better and healthy. Now I like it very much when Yolanda comes for me and takes me to therapy and then takes me home in the afternoon. Please help to sustain our project!
Carlos y Noemí
I am Carlos. My sister and I are very special children. I am 6 years old and Noemi is 5 years old. I have never been able to walk and my sister suffered from cancer at the age of 1 year and 3 months – there was nothing to do but to take out her eyes. She walks and talks and we are very good friends. Sometimes I am her eyes and she is my legs and we are one. We live alone with our papa. He is a carpenter and construction worker. We have no mother because she left when we were very little and we do not know her. I am the oldest and I need to walk to help my father with our expenses. We have a bike for transportation which we just fixed up – it is very old and every once in awhile it breaks down and we have problems to arrive at PDL where we are cared for from 8am until 6pm. There also there are many things needed but they give us much love and nice days.
Pasitos de Luz helps other children like us – they are our family and do not charge for the services.
I need a lot of physical therapy and an orthopedist to check me. We hope that God will be with us and help and also, give many blessings.
Eva
I am Eva and I am a “child of glass”. In three years I have had 24 factures of my legs because I am very active and I want to play with the other children. Each time I start to run I break my legs. I have a papa who works in the United States. My mother and I are very poor. I need an apparatus but the doctor says that first I need an operation. I am excited to maybe get a wheelchair that has a motor to move me around alone in the house and to go for walks. I like to sing and I hope to reunite with my papa because we sing many songs together. Helping PDL helps our dreams.
